Do I need IELTS to study in UAE?

Whoever said education is costly should simply consider ignorance; while we await reviews from the school of Hard knocks! 

Growing up, and seeking to know life, I had frowned against education at some point. My shallow view then was why do I need to go to school culturally, when I could just be a businessman and still make money... After all the whole yard to education is to be able to make money. Lol! Good joke, right?  

Being an entrepreneur, I have come to understand that the place of education is as vital as keeping tabs on useful information. How you choose to use it afterwards is wholly dependent on you, but where you get the information from is a great determinant for your chain reaction in whichever cause. 

In today’s read, I will be sharing with you how you can study in the UAE, while we further consider some parameters and some frequently asked questions for your knowledge bank. 

The UAE [United Arab Emirates] has always been known to be in the news for monumental things from technology, robotics, tourism, luxury lifestyle, and today's education. The IELTS is an International English Language Testing System utilized invalidating an individual to a school, especially when being an international student. One of the things that set the UAE apart from other countries of possible study is that you do not need IELTS or TOEFL to study in the UAE. Interesting, right? However, an international student cannot work and study in Dubai. 

The American University in Dubai requires SAT as part of their requirement to admit one into the school. Applicants into AUD must take the SAT Test and achieve a minimum math score of 560 [the passing score could vary overtime] 

Applicants for the AUD must possess a minimum of 3.5 GPA asides the participation in research, amongst other qualifications obtained by the school. 

While AUD does not require students to take the TOEFL or IELTS, having a valid Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT Achieve-Math) result is essential. 

American University in Dubai is a good university has it has been considered in the QS Rankings for 2022, which placed AUD as #1 in Dubai for the 5th year in a row. For the fifth year in a row, the UAE has been ranked fourth among the best universities in the Arab world. 

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in the United States has accredited the American University in Dubai, and the UAE Ministry of Education has formally approved it as well. 

The acceptance rate at American University Dubai is 32%. This implies that for admission, roughly 32 students out of a total of 100 who apply to AUD will get accepted. This indicates that the school is quite selective. If you have good grades, you'll have a good chance of getting in.

AUS Testing Center does not provide the AP test. 

The Advanced Placement Exams are recognized by the American University of Sharjah, and students who take the test and obtain a minimum needed score as established by AUS will get advanced standing credit. Depending on the subjects/courses completed and the marks gained, advanced standing students may be excluded from completing specific AUS placement tests. 

The United Arab Emirates University is open for locals and international students provided they meet the criteria set by the school.
