Who exactly is Fidelis Anosike?

Mr Anosike is well-known as a businessman and entrepreneur, but he is also a graphic artist.

He is a well-known media figure who founded the Folio Media Group, a multimedia company that owns one of Nigeria's oldest newspapers, the Daily Times.

Mr Anosike, who is from Umueri in Anambra state, received his tertiary education at the University of Benin. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative and Applied Fine Arts.

Later, in the United States of America, he enrolled in an OPM Program at Harvard Business School (USA).

After purchasing the Daily Times newspaper for over a billion naira in 2005, the fifty-six-year-old worked tirelessly to restore it to its former glory. As a result, he devised various strategies to broaden the newspaper's reach.

At the age of thirty-five, he purchased the daily Times newspaper.

Mr Anosike, in addition to his business acumen, is the driving force behind several events, including the Miss Nigeria beauty pageant, The Times Heros Award, and Nigeria Our Heritage Grand Book.

Fidelis Anosike’s Personal life

The award-winning Nigerian entrepreneur dislikes exposing his personal life to the public eye. One example is the public information about his ex-wives and children.

The lovers met at a film business session at the 2017 Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

Their affair was a closely guarded secret.

When the 46-year-old actress shared some cosy photos with her partner on her official social media pages in December 2020, it sent social media into a frenzy. It was the first time in her 24-year career that the actress revealed the identity of her lover.

In 2022, the couple announced their intention to marry in April, beginning with a bridal shower.

Fidelis Anosike’s Controversies

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has charged Mr Anosike and his brother, Noel Anosike, in court with allegations that they obtained the Daily Times through fraudulent means.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lagos State Chapter, has challenged the Folio media group's acquisition of the Daily Times, according to a report.

According to the union, the agreement was contentious and fraudulent. They also claimed that Mr Anosike fraudulently sold Daily Times properties in Nigeria and elsewhere.
